What is Medicine of Interconnectedness?

Medicine of Interconnectedness is an invitation to revisit our relationship with ourselves and everything around us. It supports us in building those relationships, with ourselves, and with all our relatives here on Mother Earth, the stone, plant, animal, and human families, with the Earth Mother, and with all our relations beyond Earth Mother.
Even though we are inseparably interconnected with everything inside of us and around us, we often don't feel that way. We often feel separated from ourselves and the world around us. This affects our wellbeing and health on all levels, physical, mental, emotional, energetic, spiritual, and on the level of our Soul.
Gathering to practice connecting to ourselves, to one another, and to the greater world, helps us find stillness and listening necessary to connect. It emphasizes the healing power found in community, mindfulness, and shared experience, encouraging participants to nurture understanding, compassion, and growth. Through ceremonies, practices, and intentional gathering, this approach helps individuals and groups cultivate a sense of belonging, support, and mutual transformation, fostering a holistic path toward wellness and unity.

What to expect?

The Gathering is organized into two segments, the Core Gathering, beginning with the arrival day, Friday, May 22, and ending on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.
Optional Gathering will continue from May 28 to May 31, 2026.

CORE GATHERING

Friday, May 22 is arrival day.
For those of you who will arrive in time, we will have dinner together by the sea.

Saturday, May 23, is the day of connecting to our bodies, especially our nervous system.
We will have an opening circle, with community ceremonies such as smudging blessing, thanksgiving address, stepping into gratitude, setting intentions, and cocreating Sacred space together. We will share about the Gathering events, about ourselves and we will share Sacred Pipe in a Community Pipe Ceremony.

I am opening up in sweet surrender
To the luminous love light of the One.
I am opening, I am opening
I am opening up in sweet surrender
To the luminous love light of the One.

In the afternoon, we will exchange practices that bring awareness about our nervous system and calm our nervous system down. The evening will be full of music and dance, with a class in Cuban Casino (sometimes called Cuban salsa), and free dancing afterwards.

Sunday, May 24, is the day of connecting to our inner support.
As every day, we will start with the opening circle, like the one on Saturday.
When in Sacred space, we will take a shamanic journey to meet our inner support, those healthy parts of ourselves, free of wounded stories and full of wisdom of self-discovery and healing.
We will exchange Hampe Karpay, the Healer’s Rite of Munay-Ki, that will awaken those inner healer parts and connect us to the lineage of healers who help us on our self-healing journey. To help us open our Sight into our inner world and the wonders of the invisible outer world, we will work with the wisdom of Kawak Karpay, the Seer’s Rite of Munay-Ki. In the evening, we will sing and dance to the rhythm of the Drum circle. We will honor our ancestors who showed their love and respect for the world through the sound of the drum, steps of the dance, and the Earth songs of connection.

Ancient Mother I hear you calling
Ancient Mother I hear your song
Ancient Mother I feel your laughter
Ancient Mother I taste your tears.

Ancient Mother, Brooke Medicine Eagle

Monday, May 25 is the day of remembering
our connections to the elements and Spirits of nature.

After the opening circle, we will attune to the elements of Mother Earth and our bodies.

Earth my body,
water my blood,
air my breath,
and fire my Spirit.

 Earth My Body, AleviDreamtime

We will experience the wisdom of the Firekeepers and in pairs build Fires to connect to the Spirits of the Fire and honor the elements through the Fire ceremony. We will exchange Chumpi Karpay, the Bands of Power Munay-Ki initiation of connection and protection. Later in a day, we will embark on a Medicine Walk into nature of our wild island. We will connect to the Earth elementals hidden in the groves of olive, Mediterranean oak, or pine trees, protected by the Sacred stone people family, nurtured by crystal clear waters of the island, and warmed by the fire of the Mediterranean sun. At the end of the day, we will rest and connect in the Sacred Stone Peoples Lodge in a silent and deep ceremony of the end of the day.

Tuesday, May 26 is the day of connecting and integrating through ancient medicine of the Sacred Stone Peoples Lodge (the Sweat Lodge).
We will build the Fire in the morning and place the Stone People to heat for the ceremony.

The stones are the bones of the Earth
I honor the stones of the Earth
I sing to the bones of the Earth (of my birth)

Stones and Bones, Brooke Medicine Eagle

We will honor the Medicine Wheel, create Prayer ties, share a Sacred Pipe, and share in preparations for the Lodge. When the Stone People are ready, we will enter the Womb of Earth Mother, in the ancient ceremony of honoring all who dwell in Spirit, all our relatives, our Earth Mother, all the Creation, and each other.

Wednesday, May 27 is the day of integration and medicine of the circle.
We will gather in the Sacred council to share, celebrate, integrate, and send our intentions with the smoke of the Sacred Pipe!

Thank you, Pachamama, our beautiful Earth Mother for helping us return to ourselves and to you!

She’s been waiting, waiting
She’s been waiting so long
She’s been waiting for her children
to remember, to return.
Blessed be and blessed are
The children of the Lady
Blessed be and blessed are
maidens, maidens, crones.
Blessed be and blessed are
Those who dance together
Blessed be and blessed are
Those who dance alone.

OPTIONAL GATHERING

Throughout the optional gathering, the Team members will offer private sessions!

Thursday, May 28 is the day of connecting to the Plant Family.
For those of you who can stay with us longer, we have an amazing opportunity to visit Oil House, a small local business in village Martinšćica, that works with the local plants. They create olive oil, essential oils, hydrolats, soaps, creams, and many other amazing products!
We will learn about the plant people of Cres and how they are distilled to fine oils and other products.
We will end the day with rest and connect in gratitude to plant family that shares with us so much!!!

Village Martinšćica on island Cres has a long history of herbalism and production of olive and essential oils. The first kilograms of precious Helichrysum essential oil in the world were produced on Cres in 1908. It all started in the 18th century with the manufacture of rosoli (herbal liqueur) and then Captain Dinko Zorović started a business with dried sage and laurel. The island women collected the laurel leaves, dried them in attics and offered them for sale until the early 1960s. Herbalisam expanded on the islands, and Andrija Linardić Sr., in August 1903, produced his first 300 kg of Cres Sage oil. His son, Andrija Linardić Jr., managed to "insert" a sample of his father's oil into the great Austrian exhibition in London in 1906. They received an "honorary diploma", and soon their first orders. Two years later, they experimentally produced the then completely unknown essential oil of Helichrysum. The experiment was successful, and for many years created abundance for all the people in the community. The business ended after the Second World War, but Oil House founders received recipes from Linardić family. With these recipes and experimentation of their own, they started producing oils from herbs growing wild on Cres.

Friday, May 29 is the day of connecting to our most vulnerable parts.
We will continue connecting to ourselves through Warm Water Healing. This beautiful medicine works through gentle movements in and under water. Warm water and gentle movements facilitate regression to childhood and prenatal stages and help us integrate them. It promotes the release and integration of unconscious parts that are waiting to be healed. The water therapist carries the client's weight, which leads to an intimate connection and a feeling of security. We will gather in a local hotel swimming pool and exchange this healing wisdom with each other. Evening will be free to rest and integrate!

Saturday, May 30 is the day for the Medicine Walk and connecting with the
tutelary Spirits of the Island!

There are so many unexpected, magical places on island Cres. We will embark on an exploration of one of these hidden places, away from the popular hiking trails, and yet close to our Gathering place. The day will start with the opening ceremonies and setting intentions in the darkness of the Sacred Stone Peoples Lodge. When everyone is ready, we will start the Medicine Walk, holding our group’s intention of connecting with the tutelary Spirits of the mountain that is island Cres, and holding our own intentions for the day. We will end the day with integration and sharing circle!

If you want to explore some of these hidden places, please go to our youtube channel,
Earthkeepers Spirit You Tube Channel, and watch some of the videos such as Walk in Beauty, Top of the Mountain or Hike down the mountain.

SUGGESTED CONTRIBUTIONS
FOR THE GATHERING 2026

We wish to make this gathering accessible to people from different financial backgrounds while also supporting the real costs of organizing and holding the space.
For this reason, we suggest three contribution levels.
All options include the same experience and participation in the gathering.

We invite you to choose the level that feels both honest and sustainable for you at this moment.
Your choice helps us create a space that is both inclusive and sustainable for the community.

Community Contribution
A reduced contribution for those with limited financial resources who still feel called to participate.

Sustaining Contribution
The standard contribution that reflects the real cost of holding the gathering.

Supporter Contribution
A higher contribution for those who are able to give more and support the accessibility of the gathering for others.

FIRE CEREMONIES

"Light streaming, light streaming, making my Firechild grow.
Light streaming, light streaming, making my Firechild glow.
Firechild sing, Firechild dance, Firechild you'll be mine.
Firechild sing, Firechild dance, Firechild you are mine."

Sitting in a Sacred council around the Fire connects us to the Spirit of Fire, to ourselves, to each other, and to all the ones who have set around the Fire before us, and will sit around the Fire after us. Grandparent Fire is a great teacher and offers the fastest transformation and teachings.

During our Community Fire Ceremonies, we step into gratitude, set our intentions, create safe and Sacred space, and light the Fire with the song of honoring and invocation of the Fire Spirit. Throughout the ceremony, we cocreate with the plant people. Their giveaway allows us to have Fire, and to release all that does not serve us any more and bring our intentions to the Fire for transmutation. We feed our energy centers with the light of the Fire, and we blow our wishes and messages for Pachamama (Earth Mother) into the Pachamama stick to be released by placing the Stick into the Fire.

This is the time to be together in ceremony, share and exchange experiences and wisdom. Fire brings us closer together, and helps us honor all the forces in our lives that support and guide us on our journeys.

CEREMONIJE SVETOG KRUGA

Oni osjećaju i žive svoje živote u toj neraskidivoj međupovezanosti s prirodom i stoga sve oblike u prirodi nazivaju svojim rođacima, kamenim ljudima, biljnim ljudima, životinjama ljudima i ljudima ljudima.

Dok putujemo Jugom rastemo i učimo o sebi i svijetu.

SACRED PIPE CEREMONIES

Sacred Pipe is one of the most Sacred rites of the First Nations peoples. Sacred Pipe is used for personal and community ceremonies as a bridge between people and Spirit. The Sacred Pipe Ceremony is always done with the utmost respect. The Pipe is an altar taken by the Pipe Carriers wherever they go. The bowl represents the Earth Mother and honors the feminine. The stem honors the masculine. When the bowl and stem are joined together, that union is Sacred.
During the Pipe Ceremony, traditions are honored and respected, and individual and group prayers are made as the smoke carries the prayers to the Creation.

image.png

Sacred Pipe Ceremonies may be done for different purposes.

image.png

Community Pipe Ceremony offers opportunities for participants to lift gratitude and prayers up to Spirit! The Pipe Carrier starts the ceremony by asking everyone to share the prayer requests for their loved ones, communities, Pachamama, themselves, to be included in the ceremony. They will also explain how to honor and smoke the Sacred Pipe. The Pipe is loaded by offering the mix of Sacred herbs to the Seven Sacred Directions. When lit, the Pipe is shared with everyone in the circle and the herbs take our love and prayers to Spirit! Imagine a large community, each person blowing smoke from the Pipe, and every blow is an opportunity for a prayer! The Pipe Circle creates the space for hundreds of prayers to be raised and offered in gratitude, invocation, and hope!

Healing Pipe Ceremony is used to offer the healing to the members of the community. It is often done by several Pipe Carriers at the same time. The smoke is blown onto the person from their head down to clear the energy field.

Transition Pipe Ceremony is offered to accompany person’s Spirit to the Upper World.

Grandmothers’ Pipe Ceremony can be offered for any ceremony but especially for ceremonies involving healing of the feminine, such as Kisma Karpay, the Rite of the Womb.

There are many other Sacres Pipe Ceremonies bringing peace and ayni to the communities!

SACRED STONE PEOPLES LODGE CEREMONIES

Stone Peoples Lodge is an ancient Sacred ceremony used by the indigenous and the earth-centered peoples, as a purification rite for the body, mind, soul, and spirit.
The name of the ceremony describes our relationship with the stone people who are gathered in a loving and respectful way, heated in a Fire ceremony and brought into the Lodge to generate heat and steam.

Sometimes, the Lodge is called the Sweat Lodge!
The ceremony involves building the Sacred Fire to invoke the Guardians and Keepers of the Seven Sacred Directions to be with us and guide us and to heat the stones. As we place the stone people into the Fire, we honor with gratitude, love and reverence our Sacred relationship with the stone people and their giveaway for our health and wellbeing. When stone people are ready, people come into the Lodge, and water is poured on the stones in a Sacred ceremony. In the heat and steam, we learn from this ancient wisdom and come into the
right relationship with ourselves and the world.

image.png
image.png
image.png

Building a Lodge is a community event through which we create loving relationships with each other, the land, stone people, plant people, Spirit and Earth Mother.
The Lodge is built through giveaway of the plant people. We go into the woods and share our intention to build a Lodge with the tree people. The young ones, the young saplings, who are ready to give away their lives to honor our Sacred relationship with their people, let us know that we can take their lives in a Sacred ceremony, with gratitude, respect and love. When the saplings are collected, we clear their bark and start the building ceremony. The stone pit is dug in the center of the future Lodge and an altar is created with the soil from the stone pit. The Fire pit is dug in the front.

Then, we start singing to the tree people, and gently and lovingly help them band to create the dome and the hoops of the Lodge. It is the most beloved and most mind and heart opening moment, this collaboration with the tree people and with each other!

A Chant to Honor the Plant People
The Willow Song
Brooke Medicine Eagle

The Lodge, the altar and the Fire pit create a Sacred pathway through which the stone people are brought into the Lodge. This Sacred pathway represents the connection between Mother Earth and the Creation. The Lodge is the womb of the Earth Mother build in a shape of the turtle, representing the wisdom of the Turtle and honoring the Turtle Island. The pathway leading to the altar is the neck of the Turtle and the Altar is the head. We go into the Womb of the Earth Mother and bring the stones as seeds of Creation into the Lodge to be cleansed, healed, and reborn again.

Lodge Uncovered.jpg

This Sacred ceremony is focused on the honoring of the forces that guide and support us, on prayers, and on respect to the traditions of the Lodge. This is profound physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual experience, that is transformational and life altering for all.

PRAYER TIES

Before entering the Lodge, participants create Prayer Ties, bundles made of cloth filled with tobacco or corn meal with tobacco. These medicine herbs are the Sacred medicine. Tobacco absorbs the prayers, and corn meal brings the feminine energy to balance them. Our prayers are blown into the herbs and the bundle is tied with a string. There are often multiple ties made in a series of 7 to represent the Seven Sacred Directions on one string holding our prayers. They can be offered to Great Spirit in Gratitude and for Blessings by burning them in Grandfather Fire, burying them into Mother Earth, placing them into the Waters, or hanging them for the winds and the element of the Air for transmutation.

image.png

A single Tobacco Tie is a square piece of cloth, usually red, folded into a tiny present containing tobacco or other Sacred herbs. A single Tobacco Tie is a nice gift for an Elder, Teacher, Fire Keeper, Ceremony Leader at a Sweat Lodge, Fire or Pipe Ceremony in gratitude for their service, medicine, and teachings.

image.png

The Sacred Stone Peoples Lodge Ceremony or a Sweat Lodge Ceremony starts days, or even months in advance.
The Spirits call us, inviting us to the ceremony.
The Keeper of the Lodge prepares the ground, cleans the Fire Pit, the altar, and the stone pit, gathers the wood, the covering materials, and prepares the stone people to be heated on the day of the ceremony.

Often, people choose to fast or cleanse in other ways to prepare physically, mentally, emotionally, and energetically for the ceremony. On the day of the ceremony, it is a good practice to eat little to nothing but drink a lot of water and electrolytes to stay hydrated.
THIS IS A WHOLE DAY EVENT, so prepare accordingly.

image.png

SUPPORT

The Sacred Stone Peoples Lodge ceremonies are community events. People of all ages are welcome. All the participants are supported by the Water Pourer, the leader of the ceremonies, the Fire keeper, Door keeper, by the organizers, and other members of the community. Every step of the ceremonies is explained and guided, and conversations are held on the steps of the ceremonies, and on safety and support as we build the Lodge and go though the events of the day.
These events are community oriented and ensure that all the participants are safe, loved, heard, and supported at all times!
Everyone is also supported by the invisible forces that have invited us to the ceremonies, and that we invite during Smudging ceremony, and creating of the Sacred space, the Creator, Earth Mother, Guardians and Keepers of the Directions, their personal guides, and guardians, and by the medicine people, Grandmothers and Grandfathers, keepers of this medicine.

ABOUT ISLAND CRES

O CRESU
Otok bjeloglavih supova, dupina, divljih, prekrasnih plaža, sela izgrađenih u kamenu i liticama, izvrsne hrane i pića, ovaca, a uskoro i svih nas!

CRES is a Croatian island in the Adriatic Sea. Cres town is known for its 16th-century Venetian Tower and Arsan Palace, which houses Cres Museum and its local costumes, weapons and other relics. In the north, trails run through the Tramuntana forest. Nearby, griffon vultures nest on cliffs near the village of Beli. Southwest, secluded Sveti Ivan beach lies on a cove below the medieval hilltop village of Lubenice.
Area: 405.8 km²
Population: 3079 (2011)
Highest elevation: 639 m (2096 ft)
Highest point: Gorice

The Cres Book of Nature is rich in flora and fauna, and the island is also known as one of the last natural habitats of the rare griffon vulture. Apart from its magnificent wonders of nature, the island of Cres also has an enviable historical and cultural heritage that can be seen first hand in the town of Cres, the Tramuntana area, and the small towns of Beli, Lubenice, and Osor, while pristine gems like the Blue Grotto sea cave and the beautiful Sveti Ivan (St John's) beach look like scenes from paradise.

Village Lubenice, Island Cres

Earthkeepers Spirit found a home on the land nested in the foothills below village Vidovići, above village Martinščica on the Western side of the island.
The land gives us quick access both to the Sea and to the richness of the land.
We are truly grateful for this place of wisdom, offering us quiet and secluded space for gathering and ceremony.

Griffon vulture (lat. Gyps fulvus) is one of the largest bird species in the world and the largest one in Croatia. They have a wingspan of 240 to 280 cm, a height of up to 110 cm, and a weight of 7 to 12 kg in adult birds. They are long-lived birds. They can live up to 40 years in captivity (less in the wild). Griffon vultures feed exclusively on carcasses of large and mid-sized mammals, and never eat live prey. They clean the ecosystem, preventing possible spread of certain diseases.

Even though griffon vultures live in other parts of the world, the Kvarner population is unique in the world because these birds nest right above the sea, while in other regions they nest mostly in mountain areas.

Watching griffon vultures in flight is always a special experience. Flying mostly in groups and barely moving their wings, griffon vultures spend hours searching the terrain for food. They fly great distances with ease, and their appearance in the air or on one of the island’s cliffs can truly be breathtaking.

Current knowledge of the status of Cetacean species in the Adriatic Sea indicate that only the common bottlenose dolphin is regularly present in the entire Adriatic Sea. The striped dolphin, the Risso’s dolphin and the Cuvier’s beaked whale are present in different densities only in the southern Adriatic, while sperm whales occasionally visit the area. Fin whales are present seasonally in the central and southern Adriatic. The long-finned pilot whale, false killer whale and humpback whale present rare visitors to the Adriatic Sea. Finally, the short-beaked common dolphin, once present in the entire Adriatic Sea should be considered regionally extinct, as it is present only through either remnant or stray animals.

The Mediterranean monk seal (Monachus monachus) is on the Red List of Threatened Species of the Adriatic. The monk seal is the only seal species in the Mediterranean Sea and the fishermen in the Adriatic Sea used to call it morski covik (seaman). It was persecuted for centuries  and almost exterminated because it destroyed fishermen’s nets. It was thought to became extinct in the Adriatic. In recent years, there have been sightings around Istria and Cres-Losinj archipelago. This gives hope that it will once again become a permanent resident of the Adriatic Sea.

Loggerhead Trutle Carreta Carreta 3.jpg

OSTALE AKTIVNOSTI

Sea turtles are an ancient group of animals, inhabiting Earth for millions of years. Today they face many threats that cause their numbers to decline. Sea turtles cannot retract their flippers and head into their shells. Their anatomy makes them agile when under the sea but highly vulnerable when nesting and hatching. The sex of sea turtles, like other reptiles, depends on the temperature in the nest. Warmer nests lead to more females and cooler ones lead to more males. They can hold their breath for five hours underwater. To accomplish this mighty feat they slow their heart rate to up to nine minutes in between heart beats in order to conserve oxygen. Although turtles are cold-blooded, they regulate their body temperature by controlling the blood flow in the skin and fins.

There are a couple of turtle species in Croatia but loggerhead sea turtle (glavata želva), green turtle (zelena želva) and the leatherback turtle (sedmopruga usminjača) are the three main sea turtle species in the Adriatic Sea. The most common species in the Mediterranean and in the Adriatic Sea is the loggerhead sea turtle. They have been living in the Adriatic for a long time. This is where they feed and spend their winters. Scientists have learned that precisely the North Adriatic is the most important region for the loggerhead turtle in the entire Mediterranean. The greatest number of this species lives, matures, feeds and winters in the North Adriatic. After nesting and laying their eggs, they return to the Adriatic. So, it’s no surprise that their population in the Adriatic is quite large. Scientists estimate there are more than 20.000 sea turtles in the Adriatic. Surveys led by the Blue World Institute show that the main habitat in the Adriatic is the loggerhead, whereas the green turtle and the leatherback are quite rare.
